Hazardous Materials and Waste Safety
- Follow all oxygen safety instructions.
- Dispose of syringes, needles, lancets,
or other sharp objects into a puncture proof container with a tightly
secured lid.
- Dispose of other soiled materials into
plastic bags with bleach and place in outdoor garbage can, or
incinerate daily.
- Clean and store all equipment as
instructed.
- To clean clothing and linens that are
soiled with blood, urine, stool, vomitus, or wounded drainage:
- Rinse to remove substance
- Add bleach to wash cycle
- Use hot wash and hot rinse cycle on
washer
